Raisin is not advice

Raisin organises important business information and helps you keep track of it. It is not legal, accounting, tax or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice about your particular circumstances.

Raisin attests to what is in your plan. It does not attest to your standing with any regulator, and it does not check any government system on your behalf. Deciding what your business is obliged to do, and doing it, remains yours.

Access during the alpha

The application is invite-only. Access is granted to invited businesses, may be withdrawn, and is provided free of charge during the alpha.

The alpha is a working product under active development. Features will change, and some will be removed. Raisin will not knowingly lose your data, but the product carries no availability commitment during this period.

Your account

• Give accurate details, and keep them current.
• Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• Tell Raisin promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

Your data stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into Raisin. You grant Raisin the permission it needs to store and process that material in order to provide the product, and nothing wider.

Raisin does not use your business data to train machine-learning models, and does not sell it.

You are responsible for having the right to provide what you upload, and for not uploading personal information about other people beyond what the product needs.

Using it properly

• Do not use Raisin to break the law, or to store material you have no right to hold.
• Do not attempt to access another organisation’s data, or to circumvent the controls that keep it separate.
• Do not probe, scan or load-test the service without written permission. Responsible disclosure of a security issue is welcome and will not be treated as a breach of this clause.
• Do not resell or redistribute the product without agreement.

What is on the website

Pages on raisin.day describe the product and are offered as information. Raisin keeps them current as the product changes, but a description of a product is a description rather than a commitment, and examples shown on the site are examples rather than anyone’s real records.

The Raisin name, marks and the material on the site belong to Raisin. Linking to the site is fine; reproducing it as your own is not.

Availability

Raisin aims to keep the service running and will give reasonable notice of planned interruption where it can. It does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and may change or withdraw parts of the service.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where liability can be limited, Raisin limits it to resupplying the service or the cost of doing so.

To the extent the law allows, Raisin is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions made on the basis of information in the product.

Ending it

You can stop using Raisin and ask for your account to be closed at any time.

Raisin may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

The alpha itself will end, and that is a transition rather than a closure. Invited businesses get reasonable notice, time to export anything they hold, and the intention is that they carry through to whatever follows.

Export anything you need before closing an account. What happens to data afterwards is described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction.

Changes

These terms change as the product does, and the date at the top moves with them. Where a change materially affects invited businesses, they are told directly.
